DONKEY KONG. That's right it's official I have changed my major! You are now reading the blog of a man with direction. Outdoor rec you have met your sole life partner...Except for in Maryland. I dropped all my classes, returned all my books, and started from scratch. My new schedule includes; outdoor adventure management, wilderness backpacking, and recrelational leadership. There's only one thing to say in cases like this F'n A.

HELP!!

I need your help. I have a life altering decision to be made. I found an amazing major that I am so interested in but I cant make the last step for fear I'm not going in the right direction. The major is in Outdoor recreation and management. Now right off the bat doesn't that sound like it was made for me. Just wait it gets better. Lets look at the class list including: white water raft guiding, rock climbing instructing, and wilderness survival. They even offer courses to get certification to be a ski patrol! But here's where I need you I need a vote do I go for it or not? I need an answer asap!

White Water swimming?

Went rafting this weekend and luckily didnt have to use the white water swimming position. They were some great rapids you can check ot pics at this guys sites:

Met some cool people and had a lot of fun. Now I'm back in the real world and its only half as fun. More on that later now i got to go do laundry.

second first day

read the next entry first or this is just confusing.. i meen MORE confusing My geology class that i thought would make me a beliver in the school system was for majors only and nobody mentioned it to me. so im with out a class now and i cant get a hold of my department head to ask his advice. Crap!

First Day

First day of class...Need I say more...well I will any way. So right off the bat I wake up at 7:10 thinking, I missed my alarm and am late, I rush out the door. Half way to my class I realized that my alarm was set for 7:30, so I could make it to my 8am class, thus making me EARLY very very early. So I do what any level headed college student would I eat. mmmm sausage egg and cheese sandwiches (they must put crack in those things). After my nice leisurely meal I head off to class and sit down ten min early with the only other student in the room. We converse and the time passes nicely. Fifteen minutes later and a few more students, (for those of us doing the math *5min after the class is to start) we find out the room has been changed. A walk down the hall and plenty of staring eyes later I’m in the right class sitting down just in time to hear about our first paper which is due on Friday. An hour crawls by. Next class I’m sure were in the right place after all there are 20 plus students sitting around me. WRONG. Ten minutes after that class was supposed to begin we learn that yet again the school has decided to fake us out send us to a phantom room. A short jaunt across campus, past the squirrels frolicking, behind the lovers fondling, and between two women who should not be allowed to wear spandex while riding their bikes which appear to have lost their seats to the cavernous depths of their bulbous asses, we finally reach our destination to hear our jack ass instructor get pissy with us for going to the class that our schedules advise us to. !Asshole! Now I’m back in my room wondering if my next class will be just as much of an adventure to get to...my guess is yes. We can send a man to the moon but we can’t schedule a single measly class right. Melodramatic? Yes. But I don’t care it’s my first day of class...so I can cry if I want to!

!!!RAFTING!!!

That’s right kitties I’m going Rafting THIS weekend. I was looking at the trips planned through the school through out the year and this weekend were going to Salmon rive for a 2 day trip! I'm so f'in excited. I might go on another one 2 weeks later. Hey Ike or any one if you’re interested you don’t have to be a student to go plus they have 3 ski trips planned for the winter that i want to go on.

Oh and get this while I’m in there they said they are looking for people to work for the school year and help teach climbing classes! I got an application to say the least. Me So Happy! So still no pics but soon maybe ill have some rafting ones too!

Summer

Well no pics yet but ill have some fun ones soon. So what happened this summer? Well I worked a lot and played a lot. No one cares about work so let’s talk play. I went to 1077 block party concert...featuring THE PRESIDENTS! (Kira and Scott came along) Scott and I went crowd surfing...I made a massive stage dive; which was possibly the most exciting thing I have ever done. I hit a few parties for those of you were there you know what happened. Swimming wake boarding and everything else. Then more recently Ike and I hit darrington after a massive trek up to 3 o clock rock we did a few climbs. i would have liked to stayed longer but we were both tired...probably me more than him. but he's a beast. go Ike! I’m sure I’m forgetting something...a lot of things actually. But whatcha gonna do? More posts soon!
