A Sad Note

Unfortunately last night Maggie seems to have hag a mild stroke and lost the use of her hind legs. We brought her in and had her sleep in the basement with me but in the morning there was little improvement in her condition. She could only now wag her tail, which she did often to let us know she was in no pain but we couldn’t bare to see her live like that. We took her to the Humane Society where she was put to sleep then brought her home and buried her next to the garden. On one hand this is a very sad moment seeing as she has been with our family for nearly 13 years but on the other I’m glad I was home to be with her before she died. I know this seems melodramatic but she was a good friend who always gave any one unconditional love and for that I truly loved her as well.

I'm sorry to hear that Will. I'm going to miss her too. Now who is going to greet me everytime I come over? You're cats sure don't like me. But Maggie liked everyone.
